Mzuzu University has expelled 12 students and suspended six others after they were found guilty of academic dishonesty during the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic years.

The disciplinary action follows hearings conducted by the Student Academic Disciplinary Committee on July 3 and 6, with the outcomes later approved by the Vice-Chancellor.

According to a notice issued by the Office of the University Registrar, two students have been suspended for one academic year, while four others will serve two-year suspensions. The remaining 12 students have been expelled from the university with immediate effect.

The affected students have been instructed to complete the university clearance process, while those dissatisfied with the decisions have been given 21 days to appeal to the Vice-Chancellor..

Mzuzu University says the disciplinary measures underscore its commitment to upholding academic integrity and maintaining high academic standards.
